Tumalo House

Designed with rural agrarian structures as precedent, this project was planned to be constructed in two phases. Phase 1 is the garage and studio constructed in 2010 with the main house planned for construction in 2018. The buildings are sited to capture stunning view of the Cascade Mountains in Central Oregon. The approach to the buildings recalls simple agrarian board and batten structures with simple roof forms. Service functions and circulation are all clustered on the southern edge with the main rooms for living collected and canting along the north side of the property to take advantage of mountain views.
